Happy Sunday

I am feeling so blessed today. I have a wonderful family!! Brenden blessed the sacrament for the first time today. He did a wonderful job. He had so much confidence. I am amazed and stunned at all these milestones that seem to keep flying by. I am happy to be with them and happy that I get to experience all of this with them. I am working on a healthier me so that I can be around for a really long time to come (got to get to the grandkids, Janet). I am loving it and feel so much better. I have shed 24 lbs today!! It is so amazing. I am grateful for a wonderful Health Coach who is so inspirational. I am totally blessed to have her in my life. She guides me and helps me in so many ways. I feel like the gray cloud that had been surrounding me since February and before is lifting and I am happy!!

Positively looking forward

This year has been an interesting one. I am so glad that I have a wonderful husband who is so supportive. I having been feeling to down lately as I think how old my son is getting. I think is it called a mid life crisis!! It sucks! Thoughts of what it will be like when he is moving on... My life revolves around him and I didn't know who I would be without him. Thankfully, I am over that :) I have a long time left to enjoy and to create happiness within myself. I am excited to be changing my habits to create a more healthy me!! Positive thinking is one of the keys. So here is to a new journey! I am so thankful for the inspiration I am getting to make this change!

Mindstrom Robotics Competition at Lagoon

Skyler's elementary school is so wonderful!! He has been working since January with an after school program called Mindstorm Lego-Robotics. Today was his one and only competition at Lagoon. He and his partner Joseph competed in the A-Mazing Comp. They had to program the robot to run a maze as fast as possible. They made a team flag in their spare time. The first stage of the competition was to meet with two different Judges and do an "interview" about their robot. My pictures don't show it very well but they have to get the robot to follow the wall and go around each side and in and out of the set up one sided maze. Their robot ran the maze in 36.5 seconds!! The winning team ran it in 32.3. They where so close and really did so good. They where so stressed and completely nervous during the competition. We thought for sure they would place in the top 3, but they didn't. So disappointing for them. Glad at 11 ice cream still fixes a broken heart :)They are excited for next year and the Sumo-robotics!! They also got the ride a few rides at Lagoon, even with all the teens there. Note to self, stay far far away from Lagoon on Physics Day :)

Skyler the Ballroom Dancer

Skyler had his final Ballroom dance performance for the year. He is so cute! I know he would kill me for saying it, but really it was so heartwarming. He preformed in all 4 of the first year dances with different girls. My personal favorite though was after. They had a general open dance time and my son, yes my son, asked multiple girls to dance. He actually had a lot of guts! He amazes me everyday. What a wonderful kid!

Mini Family Vaction

It's been a while since I have posted anything here, seems just like my journal writing :) But I am hoping to get back into it. All the Wright Clan got together last weekend for a mini vacation. It was so much fun to have all my family here and at our house for a change. We took some family pictures and I think they turned out wonderful!! It is amazing how much things have changed in such a short time :) Thanks everyone for the fun times! What a great way to spend a birthday weekend!

It's rare to catch such a true smile from our 14 year old... he loves the kids!
